Trouble in Mind

Troubleinmind

This piece is a departure from direct sculpture. Originally made in clay and then, through the magic of mold making, alchemized into fiberglass.

Sculpture classes hit the road running this spring since many of the return students already had project started. There is still room for a few new victims and visitors are always welcome. The classes are on Monday Wednesday and Friday 10 to 12 AM. Some of the student work is really terrific so please stop and visit.

What's new

New work done is posted in the gallery at the very bottom: 2009-2010... new pieces will be posted as they are finished. On the whole the pieces are named for the year they were finished(2009) and also the dimensions . This is a bit of a departure from the way I usually present the pieces , It is meant to show that I try to work in a visual language communicating directly with the viewer void of a literal interpretation . The difficulty with this is the identification of pieces . I've always disliked going into a gallery and seen ""carving 38 Z"". although I'm not sure why ... I think the raw honesty of this approach offends me . If this makes no sense to you you're thinking clearly . So please forgive my confusion . ... I hope you enjoy the pieces anyway
